“All things work together for the good…”

“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.”

Tim Blakeney Bio

Described by his fans as a “real life” rapper, Tim Blakeney started writing songs at a young age. In the wake of childhood tragedies, his mother's tragic death at age 9 and his father's incarceration at 10, Tim used his notebooks as a refuge, pouring his thoughts onto the pages. Each word was a release, transforming pain into poetry and confusion into clarity. This passion shaped his journey in music and storytelling.

Uprooted from his hometown in Massachusetts to a completely different world in central Florida at fifteen, his diverse experiences cultured a lyrical uniqueness in him clearly represented by his style of writing. Influenced by the rhymes of Nas, Big L, Big Pun, Eminem and many others, his lyrics and his flows give his listeners hope that HipHop is alive and well.

Throughout his teenage years Tim continued to perfect his craft, spending hours in his notebooks daily. At the age of nineteen things began looking up for Tim. Although he was a troubled young man, living a life of crime, hustling to provide for his son and the mother of his son (now his wife), a record label from Atlanta saw his raw lyrical talent and signed him to a record deal. His mixtapes began to gain traction in Atlanta, receiving radio play and he was nominated at the Orlando hip-hop awards for best mixtape of the year. Then, just when it seemed like things were finally coming together for him and he had a bright future with music his career hit a tremendous roadblock. His life of crime caught up with him when he was raided by Volusia County swat teams and sentenced to prison in Tallahassee Florida.

During this time, he began to self-reflect and assess the path his life was headed down mentally and spiritually. It was then, in a prison cell praying to God that Tim came to faith. His outlook shifted and instead of seeing prison as a curse he saw it for the blessing it was. The darkness meant it for evil, BUT GOD, meant it for good.

After completing his sentence, having a complete change of heart, Tim decided to walk away from his record deal in Atlanta and reinvent himself. To reinvent himself as an artist, but more importantly, reinvent himself as a man. A rebirth of the soul. A rise above the skynet. Many of his friends thought he was crazy considering the opportunity he was giving up, but he didn’t care. He had purposed in himself that he would rather struggle financially cutting grass in Florida than to sell his soul to make it in the music industry- a choice he does not regret.

Although Tim Blakeney stopped releasing music publicly, he continued to write and grow as an artist through the years, perfecting his craft while adding to his skillset learning to play piano and guitar.

Over a decade later, Tim Blakeney, a man of faith, is back in his hometown in Massachusetts, where he resides with his loving wife and their four children. Through years of hard work, he has established a career for himself, working his way up in the fire protection industry. Tim is currently working as a foreman for the Local 550 Boston Sprinkler Fitters union. Now, after years of honoring God with his life and providing for his family, he is ready to start opening his notebooks back up. During the day he makes a living in the physical fire protection trade, but by night he is investing in spiritual fire protection, using his musical gifts and talents to shine light in a world that grows darker every day. Inspired by the wisdom of his faith, Tim is back in the studio out in Boston recording his new album ‘The World War 3 LP’, set to release in 2027, Lord willing.

Compelled to inspire with powerful music, Tim is showing the world that regardless of how hopeless things may seem, there is always a way to get back home. Music is his vehicle. Take a ride with him.
